At Wonky Woolies, we specialise in making custom knitted hats – all designed and manufactured in our Scottish Borders workshop. We are able to create bespoke products to fit any given design brief as we work closely with our customers.
What We Can Do.
Whether you’re looking for a unique gift for a friend or a batch of 200 hats for your brand, we will be able to meet your request!
- We can replicate your logo or produce a design from an idea you may have, using our design software. You will receive a one-on-one consultation with our design team to ensure your specific needs can be met. We will provide you with artwork to approve the concept prior to knitting a sample.
- Custom designs can be knit in a variety of different yarns such as merino wool, new wool, lambswool, or acrylic yarn. According to your choice of fibre, we can closely match your brand’s colour palette with up to 5 colours included in each design. - Pompoms can be customised in terms of size and colour. We have made stripey, speckled, BIG and small pompoms to suit our customers needs.
- Working alongside our partner GB Labels, we can save you time and hassle in creating your bespoke product. From developing the label design, through sampling each aspect, to providing you with a complete custom design hat with your branded labels attached.

To get in contact, please fill out the enquiry form on our website or call the workshop on 01573 228676. If you would like to upload any artwork files, please make sure they are in png, pdf, or jpeg form.
Once we have received your request, we’ll give you a call to discuss the concept in more details. Then we’ll get to work on developing your design and send you over a design concept, matching your requirements, for approval. Once everyone is happy, we’ll invoice for the sample and have it ready to post within 7 days from payment.
Only after receiving your sample hat, with both parties happy to proceed, we will arrange a production timescale and fulfill your order quantity.

In short, we are open to all design requests and we love to make your ideas come to life! Some of our past commissions have included branded hats for local MTB skills group Ridelines, a giant hat for Ealing Trailfinders team Mascot and some luxurious merino wool hats gifted to a very lucky wedding party in Geneva.
