We find ourselves just a month away from one of our favourite events – The Glentress 7 mountain bike race, part of the Tweedlove Bike Festival in the Scottish Borders. This is the 7th year of this fantastic event and it’s time to get on our bikes in preparation for 7hrs of pain and pleasure over the 11km course.
I’ve a score to settle following an early exit last year – after I found myself upside down and inside a mountain rescue ambulance, whilst attempting an ‘innovative’ manoeuvre subsequently crashing into a tree. Thanks Tweed Valley Bike Patrol for all of your help.
Alison & I will once again be participating in the pairs category as Team Wonky Woolies, complete with our custom race shirts and bobble hats. The GT7 is held on Saturday 27th May and is part of a wide range of great events for all ages and abilities during the Tweedlove festival. Say hello if you see us on the day – we’ll be the ones in the coolest bobble hats around & the biggest smiles of relief when the 7hrs is up!
