The Eildon hat celebrates our local landmark, the iconic Eildon Hills.
With the sun and the moon above the three hills and the forest in the foreground, this hat is a tribute to one of our favourite views in the Scottish Borders. Our design draws inspiration from the Scott’s View vista. On a clear day or night, you get a spectacular view of the Eildon Hills and the surrounding countryside. Rolling hills and a patchwork of farmland, makes this area of Scotland one of the finest around.
We have knitted the Eildon hat with a double layer of merino wool. This type of wool is luxurious to wear and soft to touch. Above all, it is highly functional for hill walking as it is hypoallergenic and breathable. Take yourself on a tour of the Eildon Hills in your new hat, to see the route map click here.
The sun version of the hat is knitted with forest green, emerald green, burgundy, orange, gold and pink. The moon version uses a mix of blues, charcoal and silver grey with a pop of orange in the sky. Both hats are topped with a mixed colour pompom, which is incredibly soft to touch.
Our micro-factory is based in Kelso, where our team designs, knits and hand finishes each hat individually with care. As a mark of authenticity, all of our products have our branded wash label stating ‘proudly made in Scotland’. We are passionate about creating quality knitted accessories that bring warmth and joy to the wearer.
