A Highland Cow hat that is better for you and the planet too!
This year we’ve changed the fibre of our Highland cow hat from acrylic yarn to luxurious merino wool. The design features a Highland Cow face, with fun candy cane horns in contrasting colours. There is a wooden fence around the circumference of the hat, with the cow repeated four times. The hat is available in two colours, a charcoal grey hat, with mustard cow, blue and white horns and a blue, white and grey pompom. Or the Mallard hat with rust features, gold and white horns and a mallard, gold and white soft pompom.
The bobble hat fits neatly on the head, with a ribbed turn up to adjust the length. We prefer Merino wool for its soft feel and we knit with a double layer throughout. Knitting in this way creates a highly durable product that keeps you very warm.
Merino wool
Merino wool is a fibre with one of the tightest coils from any breed of sheep. The structure of the wool fibre makes it breathable, water repellent and hypoallergenic. As wool is a sustainable fibre, it regenerates every year on the sheep. Finally, in years to come, wool will degrade naturally, leaving no trace on the earth.
You can wash merino wool in the washing machine. We recommend to wash at 30 degrees and turn the product inside out to protect the soft, hand sewn pompom. Do not tumble dry the hat.

Made is Scotland
Our team have designed, knitted and hand finished the Highland cow hat in our workshop in Kelso. We are passionate about creating quality garments that will last you many years. Merino wool is a favourite within our team, who thoroughly test our products with daily wear in the Scottish climate.
