Our classic Wonky hat design combines three separate pattern sections collated in an oversize fairisle style. Wear the hat in a relaxed, slouch style.
Wonky hat
The Wonky hat was designed by Chief Wonky for the Winter 2011/12 collection. Always a fan of using colour and vibrant patterns, she took inspiration from Fairisle and 80’s nostalgia to create this design. The result is a classic, timeless design. This pattern has seen many variations over the years, you can see it used now in our merino headbands.
Slouch style
The Wonky hat has a double layer of acrylic yarn on the turn up to add more insulation on your ears. The rib structure hugs your head with soft yarn. Each of the pattern areas use two contrasting colours knit together to make them pop. The hat is unlined to accentuate the slouch style. This hat is our standard size, designed to fit most adult sized heads. The dimensions are 23cm wide and 31cm long unfolded from the bobble to the base.
Acrylic Yarn
Acrylic yarn is extremely soft, it is non fibrous and vegan friendly. Wash the hat at 30 degrees. We recommend to turn it inside out to protect the hand sewn pompom.
