Scotland’s First Minister visits Wonky HQ!

On Friday 6th March we were incredibly privileged to have a visit from Scotland’s First Minister, Nicola Sturgeon.  The visit was in honour of International Women’s day (today 8th March) where the First Minister is encouraging more women into business to help boost our economic growth here in Scotland.  It was lovely to talk to her about the development of Wonky Woolies and discuss our plans for growth.  The First Minister was interested to see the techniques that we use in production and was given a demonstration on how to use ‘Hank’ our industrial Hague linker.

We had a nice display of hats for her to see and she was very happy to get stuck in trying on and bagging her very own Wonky bobble hat.  The First Minister’s choice is our ‘Proud Thistle’ hat which looks great on her with the combination of soft grey and neon pink! We’d like to thank her for taking the time to come and visit us at Wonky HQ.  Fiona and I were very excited to meet her but she must come back as Karen was busy at a ceilidh in the highlands, which the First Minister noted.
